Perhaps rather predictably, the firm has taken the opportunity to celebrate the occasion by creating the GSX-R1000 Commemorative Edition.
There aren’t any performance upgrades, but the new bike gets a special colour scheme and various other cosmetic embellishments including a numbered plaque on the top yoke, a red nose cone, gold forks, tank graphics, wheel stripes and black Brembo brake calipers with gold lettering.
Just 1,985 will be available, with sales due to begin next year. A price has yet to be confirmed.
