The hatchback’s chassis is thoroughly altered with better brakes, Ford Racing suspension components and upgraded wheels and tyres.
However, despite the fitment of a replacement Shelby / Borla exhaust, the output from the 2.0 litre four-cylinder, turbocharged EcoBoost engine is left unchanged at 252 bhp (187 kW / 255 PS). Shelby is currently working on an optional tune-up for the motor, although a release date is yet to be confirmed. Production of the Shelby Focus ST is going to be limited to 500 units per year and orders are being accepted now. Post-title package prices start at a whopping $14,995, to which must be added the $24,495 cost of a new Focus ST. Oh, and Shelby will be keeping any parts it removes from the donor car.
