2014 Silverado Texas Edition

According to Chevrolet, one in six full-size pick-ups are sold to customers in Texas. So it’s hardly surprising that the brand is pandering to that market by launching the Silverado Texas Edition.

Based on the mid-range, V6-powered Silverado LT or the more luxurious, V8-powered LTZ, the Texas Editions come with 20” alloy wheels, unique badges and the trailering equipment pack that includes a locking rear differential.

On LT versions the door mirror caps and door handles are body-coloured, while the wheels have a polished finish. Alternatively, the LTZ models also have a Bose audio system as well as chrome wheels, door handles and mirror caps.

The Silverado Texas Editions add $2,165 to the base price of an LT or $1,895 to an LTZ. For those buyers not in Texas, the optional Custom Sport packages offer identical features (minus the special badges) for the same amounts.
