Full European specifications have yet to be confirmed. However, Mazda has said the new arrival (which will continue to be known as the Demio in Japan) is going to be available with 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines that are claimed to offer improved efficiency.
Following a public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, UK sales are expected to begin early in 2015.
